The only thing that is doing the thing is doing the thing.

Thinking about the past four years of hosting an event in November, we as Bolters at Dawn staff, club members, and community have come such a long way. Being nervous about hosting our first ever event, a 16 player Warhammer 40k event, to being excited (and mostly prepared) about running a 50 player 40k event alongside a 24 player Age of Sigmar event here in 2024! It’s a lot on our glorious Staff to drive things, but the true champions are our club members who follow their lead (and blaze your own paths)!

Without further ado, let’s get into the meat (no harmed animals except Albert) of what we have planned, where you can learn more, and how you can drive the dopest tabletop convention in Cincinnati (aka BOLTERCON) to even doper heights.

What’s New

Well well well, one new thing this year is a new registration level: The VIP Pass. We have a few surprises up our sleeves, but suffice to say our VIP registrations will be well taken care of. This ticket level is a little amorphous at the moment, so we appreciate your trust in us to go hard (do all the things) and your willingness to help up fund BOLTERCON.

Another new thing is Bolters at Dawn pulling in more game systems that have a community behind them to get space at BOLTERCON. Or, maybe one way to get a community going is to bring your crew and we’ll bring our crews and we’ll play some Battletech – or maybe some Dropzone. Sharp Practice? OTHERS?? The schedule is mostly full but there is space for more. If you are interested in adding a event and running it, please fill out our organizer questionnaire:

And, as always, we have our BOLTERCON 2024 PLAYER PACKET for your consumption. The main events are set in schedule, but we will be updating things like rules and missions and stuff like that. At the bottom of the packet will be a revision log, so you aren’t caught off guard.

Last but not least, we are using a slightly different registration system this year which gives us a better way to control events as they are related to your registration. After you register (link at bottom of email), you can make a RegFox account which will pull in all your history with us (provided you use the same email as with past events). This is very useful because your registration can be used to add events as they come! We have the basics, but maybe there’s more…

Last but not least – and old thing that is also a current thing and a future thing – we are ramping up our efforts (less than 90 days) to make BOLTERCON as dope as possible.
